🚨 CALL OUT 🚨

At 1:15pm today, the Bega Rescue Squad received a call out to a single vehicle Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) with persons trapped in Bega.

Upon arrival, NSW Fire and Rescue crews were in the process of removing the driver’s door to free the casualty. Rescue operators assisted where required and helped with road closures until the vehicle was removed from the scene.

A great example of emergency services working together to support our community in times of need.

🚨 CALL OUT 🚨

At 10:50pm last night, the Bega Rescue Squad received a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) call out for reports of persons trapped on the Snowy Mountains Highway, Bemboka.

Responding rescue operators arrived on scene to find a single vehicle that had collided with a cow. The occupant had self-extricated prior to crews arriving.

Bega Rescue operators assisted in removing the vehicle from the roadway and making the scene safe.

A reminder to please take extra care when driving at night, where wildlife and livestock may be present on the roads.

🚨 CALL OUT 🚨

At 9:00pm last night, the Bega Rescue Squad received a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) call out for persons trapped in a vehicle in Bega.

On arrival, rescue operators were confronted with three injured patients, with two still inside the vehicle. The driver was trapped, requiring the removal of the door and a dashboard lift to safely extricate them.

Both patients were successfully freed from the vehicle and transported to awaiting NSW Ambulance crews for further treatment.

The Bega VRA Rescue Squad received a call out at 2:40pm today for a lift rescue in Bega.

Squad members attended the scene and successfully freed a member of the public.

🚨 CALL OUT 🚨

At 9:15pm last night, the Bega Rescue Squad responded to an Ambulance Assistance call out at The Murrah.

Initially tasked with gaining access through a locked gate, the incident evolved, with our operators assisting NSW Ambulance to carry a patient from a residence to the awaiting ambulance.

This marked the second call out for the squad yesterday, following an earlier activation at 4:55pm for a vertical rescue at Tura Headland, where operators were stood down en route.
