SORRY, SORRY - NOW BOOKED OUT. On-line bookings no longer available - but you could try your luck as a walk-in in case there are cancellations!!

Because of the unbelievable demand from curious people who want to see what Old Government House is all about, we have decided to open on Sunday afternoon, 13th September from 1 pm to 4 pm; (as part of Belair NP Park of the Month celebrations). Guided tours only because we simply don't have enough volunteers to offer afternoon tea. (New volunteers are always welcome).

We are open from 1-4pm, tours run every 30 minutes, lasting approximately 1 hour. Finish your tour with a tasty vintage themed Devonshire tea, in our warm air conditioned tea rooms.

It’s National Volunteer Week, time to celebrate the efforts of all our wonderful volunteers. The Friends have been caring for OGH for 43 years. We are small but mighty. So thank you, not just to those volunteers helping now - but all those who have given their time over all the last 43 years. 🙏

So 👏 💐 to the garden team; the open day team (front desk managers, guides and kitchen team); those who
manage our collections/display and maintenance; those who supply our GF/vegan scones and (delicious) lemon card for our afternoon teas; everyone involved in maintaining archives and records and all those volunteers who clean the buildings (and loos!).

Old Government House would not be open to visitors without you.

Welcoming our new President, Simon Kleinig. Simon has taken over the reins from Wayne Gallasch who has been President of the Friends since 2017. Wayne, thank you for your support and dedication throughout that time.

Simon is seen here after our AGM, with Louise Miller-Frost MP and Catherine Hutchesson MP, who helped celebrate our 43rd anniversary. We’ve been caring for the OGH complex since 1983 …with many more years to come!
