Save Elliott Reserve

Save Elliott Reserve Say "NO" to any development of Elliott Reserve Elliott Reserve is located in Elliott Street, Belfield, NSW.

It is surrounded by the Cooks River to the North East and Punchbowl Road to the South. It provides a vital service to the local community as one of the very few large Leash Free Exercise Parks for dog owners in the Inner West as well as one of the few remaining areas of passive green open space in the Inner West. In the past weeks Strathfield Council has announced plans to build a Community Hub on

this site with parking for 140 Cars. Five years ago this page was set up to voice opposition to any development of this reserve. As at that time council had indicated that they were requesting expressions of interest in developing site. As of May 2017, council documents indicate that they are expecting to complete the development by the end of the Financial Year 2018. This as been done with a total lack of consultation with the local community. The overwhelming view of the local community is for this park to remain as it is currently. The purpose of this page is to bring together the local community members who are interested in preserving Elliott Reserve in its current state. If you are opposed to any development of this park we suggest that you call Strathfield Council on 02 9748 9999 and voice your concerns.

Vandalism at its best.

This seemingly mundane photograph of a sports stadium in the early stages of demolition illustrates a $730 million controversy the government would rather you didn’t see.

Is this Gold Class Founding Members who were never consulted about the demolition by SCG Trust?

None of this adds up. The government is coming up with reasons that were not sighted just two short years ago.

The government's claim the stadium cost is 1 per cent of health and education spending is being criticised by Labor

Breaking: Waverley Labor and Greens just passed a Motion to reject Allianz Stadium funding, Westconnex Stage 3 and Moore Park Alexandria Connectivity- and put the money to other needed infrastructure including hospitals, schools
Congratulations! Thanks to Labor Cr Marjorie ONeil for putting up the Motion

The reaction of Premier Gladys Berejiklian to the stadium protests quite stuns me.
