In this day and age the road to success for a young sportsperson is a long one. Expectations and opportunities are greater than ever, yet at the same time the competition to make representative teams is fierce. Country kids often struggle more than their city counterparts to achieve exceptional results due to “the tyranny of distance”. Achieving at a high level is a very expensive and time-consumi

ng exercise that puts stress on the resources of the whole family. There is a wealth of sporting talent in Benalla and its surrounding districts that needs and deserves support from our community. The Benalla Young Sportspersons Trust has been active since 2003 and has supported many of our local junior athletes to achieve outstanding results at regional, state and international events. The Benalla Young Sportspersons Trust enables potential sporting stars from our community the right to access financial aid to help them meet their supporting commitments. To be able to help a potential future Olympian or World Champion with their development is a exciting prospect. We hope you can join with us to help make dreams come true!
