KICKING GOALS WITH STUDENTS IN MERRIJIG

Yesterday, members from the Benalla Proactive Policing Unit visited Merrijig Primary School to speak with students about the role police play in the community and to discuss the importance of Road Safety Week.

While we were there, we were also lucky enough to join in a footy clinic run by players from the Collingwood AFLW team.

The students had a fantastic time kicking the footy with both police members and the AFLW players, and it was a great opportunity to build positive connections with students in a proactive and informal setting.

A big thank you to Merrijig Primary School for having us, and to the Collingwood players who did an amazing job engaging with the kids โ€” and may have even convinced a few students to barrack for the Pies!
