Thank you Bendemeer! The Hall is again safe in the hands of committed local people, after our most successful AGM since I don't know when.
Your new Committee for 2025 - 2026:

Treasurer - James Manton
Booking Officer - Zoe Manton (Lees)
Committee Members - Amy Fletcher, Beth Phelps, Eve Sinton, Jamie Hook, Louise Brown, Cody Taylor, Adrienne Hobson, Liz Baker, Carolann Brown, Kerry Brown.
So heartwarming to see a new generation putting themselves forward to act on behalf of the Bendemeer community, bringing skills in management, finance, electrical trades and finally allowing long serving committee members to step back at last.
A big thank you to Winston (20+ years), Carolann (12 years), Edwina (4 years), Kerry (9 years) for their efforts in managing the Hall to its current state.

It's that time of year again - time for the AGM of the Bendemeer Town Hall (when everyone in Bendemeer pretends that they're TOO busy to spare ANY time to join our committee 🙄)
SUNDAY 20th July - 10.00 am at the Hall
So break the mold, swim against the tide, be a rebel and become a Committee member. The alternative is that the Council takes full control of the Hall.

The Bendemeer Art Show starts tomorrow, so here's an opportunity to pick out something for Mother's Day if you're looking for a gift with a difference.
Plenty of artworks & photography for sale and even some 3D steel Xmas trees for the garden, (here's a sample, tinsel not included 🙂)

WOW, some more works have been placed around the grounds, courtesy of the NEST group in readiness for the Art Show 1st to 4th May. Works from Anthony Battaglia (that's Anthony in the black) and Stephen King among them.
Really creating an "artistic vibe" to the setting, wish they could stay 🎨😉
Everyone is welcome to come and have a look around, just please be respectful and don't try climbing on them.

A few more sculpture pieces have been temporarily placed around the Hall, until their final placement on the NEST project is decided.
1. Invisible Force by Michael Purdy (the column in the garden),
2. Early Sculpture by Dale Miles (the white stone),
3. Early One Evening by David Horton (the 3 blue panels).
They'll definitely add interest to the upcoming Art Show 😄!!
