🇲🇾 Celebrating Our Malaysian Friends at Kalianna 🇦🇺
Over the past three weeks, we have had the absolute pleasure of welcoming two special education teachers from Malaysia, Jeevi and Aidil, into the Kalianna School community.
Throughout their time with us, Jeevi and Aidil immersed themselves in life at Kalianna, spending time across different classrooms and specialist programs, learning alongside our staff, building wonderful relationships with our students and sharing their own experiences as educators from Malaysia.
What has made the experience particularly special has been the opportunity for genuine cultural and professional exchange. While Jeevi and Aidil came to learn about special education in Australia, we have learnt just as much from them. Their kindness, respect, curiosity and willingness to get involved in everything Kalianna had to offer made them feel like part of our school community very quickly.
Most importantly, our students loved having them here!
As their time with us comes to an end, we want to say a huge thank you to Jeevi and Aidil for everything they have contributed to Kalianna. We hope you return home with plenty of new ideas, great memories, new friendships and perhaps a little piece of Kalianna with you.
