Bendigo Botanic Gardens The Bendigo Botanic Gardens, White Hills is a garden that will celebrate the past, appreciate the present and embrace the future.

Gazetted in 1857, the Bendigo Botanic Gardens was the first public park opened in Bendigo. A masterplan guides the development of the gardens. The BBG aims to be a place that connects people together and encourages them to connect with plants. It is a centre for recreation, education and conservation.

🌿 The perfect forecast for a walk through history

It’s going to be perfect weather for a stroll under the magnificent canopy of heritage listed trees.

Join us at 10:30 AM for a FREE walking tour through the Heritage Garden. We’ll be wandering beneath the tall, shady trees planted way back in the 1800s, enjoying the best the gardens have to offer.

Our guide is a qualified horticulturalist and a total history buff, so you’ll get the perfect mix of plant facts and local history stories.

Celebrating the 100 year Anniversary of the Arch of Triumph. Officially opened on 23 of May 1925. Initiated by the local residents to commemorate those who served in World War One. The Arch is a key feature of the Botanic Gardens and provides an iconic entrance into our Heritage gardens.
