FRNSW 282 Dungog is proud to be partnering with Dungog Shire Council and the Dungog SES Unit to host a Community Recruitment & Engagement Day on Thursday, 9 July 2026, commencing at 10:30am at FRNSW Station 282 Dungog.
This exciting event will showcase the vital work performed by emergency services across our community and provide an opportunity for locals to learn more about becoming an On-Call Firefighter or SES Volunteer.

âś… Live Road Crash Rescue Demonstration featuring vehicle extrication techniques
âś… Rescue briefing and recruitment information session
âś… Live commentary throughout the rescue scenario
âś… Dungog SES capability display and equipment showcase
âś… BBQ and informal networking with current members
This event is being coordinated by Cassandra Sermon from FRNSW 282 Dungog and Luke Jamieson, Emergency Response Manager at Dungog Shire Council, with the aim of strengthening community engagement and encouraging more local people to become involved in emergency services.
