Today, members from Berkeley Vale participated in winch recertification training at the Charmhaven Fire Control Centre.

As part of the Remote Area Firefighting team, these volunteers undergo this training to ensure they remain proficient in winching procedures and aircraft safety. This capability is a critical component of our operational response, enabling crews to deploy into remote locations via aircraft to protect the community.

Want to challenge yourself and serve your community in a unique way? We are always looking for dedicated individuals to join our team. Whether you are interested in specialised roles like RAFT or general firefighting and support, we have a place for you.

Great teamwork this morning! Berkeley Vale RFS crews were on the scene at Rutherford Drive, Glenning Valley, working alongside local residents to clear a fallen tree that was blocking the roadway.
The road is now clear and the situation is under control. A huge thank you to the community members who stepped in to help our crews get things moving again so quickly. Stay safe out there, in the wet conditions

Behind every callout, training night, fire truck and response at Berkeley Vale Rural Fire Brigade, there’s a mum quietly carrying more than her share of the load.

To the mums on the fireground, the mums supporting our brigade behind the scenes, the mums keeping things running at home while loved ones are away protecting the community, and the mums who are always there with encouragement and support — thank you.

Your strength, patience and sacrifice never go unnoticed.

Happy Mother’s Day from everyone at Berkeley Vale Rural Fire Brigade.
