Last week we were able to repair the vehicle access track for the volunteer shed and the Berri Barmera Landcare nursery. We also created culverts to direct water away from the track in future rain events. Track and trail maintenance is an ongoing task in our reserves to enable everyone to experience nature safely.

Huge thank you to Santos Ready Mixed Concrete for donating the rock to infill the erosion gullies, your support is greatly appreciated 🙌🌱

Today is International Day for Biological Diversity 🌱🌳🦂🦋🦎🦘🦇🪱

Biodiversity is what keeps our world thriving—yet many species are facing increasing habitat loss and decline.

The National Trust of South Australia is custodian to 24 spectacular nature reserves right across the state, in a variety of ecological communities, supporting a huge array of biodiversity!

Thanks to all our volunteers who celebrate biodiversity today, and everyday! Thanks so much for protecting and conserving vital habitat for thousands of native species keeping ecosystems healthy and resilient 💚

You can take action by supporting conservation efforts in South Australia. No matter your abilities, there are many opportunities for all 😊🌱

This week we celebrate National Volunteer Week! 🙌🎉

We thank all who volunteer for the National Trust of South Australia enormously! Also to those volunteers around the world.

This year’s theme is ‘Connecting Communities,' celebrating the power in volunteering to bring people together. Volunteering creates lasting relationships that enriches lives and strengthens communities.

Without the help from our volunteers, what we achieve would just not be possible.

Volunteers make the world a better place! We are so grateful for your dedication, passion and care 🥰🌱

Would you like to volunteer for the National Trust? We have so many different volunteering opportunities. Please contact us on (08) 8202 9200 or at [email protected]

Would you like to join us for our working bees? Here is a schedule for 2025. Hope to see you soon 😊🌱

Today, on International Volunteers Day, we are so thankful to all the amazing volunteers who dedicate their time to protect our precious native bushland 🙏🌱💕

Without volunteers, the National Trust nature reserves would be weedy, inaccessible and void of native plants and wildlife. Thanks to the hard work of volunteers over decades, these reserves are oases for many threatened plants, animals and ecological communities. And most are accessible, via walking trails (also maintained by volunteers) for people to enjoy!

Our world, society and communities would truly be lost without them!

If you've thought about volunteering, no matter your skills/abilities there is always something to do and we'd welcome any support. It's a great way to give back, spend time in nature and make a positive difference 😊🙌
