Earlier today at the RFS Training Centre in Dubbo NSW three of our brigade were honoured with Citations for Service. They had attended, along with 4 colleagues from Mittagong, an incident back on 30 August 2024.
Now Group Captain Gerard Poll (then Captain of Berrima Brigade), Firefighter Stephen Cupitt and Firefighter Samuel Thomas - you are most deserved of your citation on this St Florian’s Day. Your brigade is proud to stand alongside you always. Very well done…..

Today, 4 May, is St Florian's Day!

St Florian’s Day is named after the Patron Saint of firefighters. It is the day where we come together to recognise our volunteers and staff who have gone above and beyond – showing incredible acts of bravery in protecting the community or delivering the highest level of commitment to the Service that is worthy of special recognition.

This morning:

Wood donated by How’s She Loppin, split by Cupitt’s Excavation and delivered by Berrima RFS to the Scouts Jamboree at Belangalo.

The brigade often interacts with the Hume Scouts - hope this weekends jamboree is a successful one!

As stated some of our crew assisted with this car fire last night. Well done to all teams!
