Hi Folks!
Would anybody have a hard shell briefcase kicking around that they no longer need? Would be handy for the Treasurer of the Berringa Community Committee. Thanks!

As H5 bird flu continues to spread, housing requirements have been extended for at least 28 days for poultry flocks of 50 or more birds along the south of the state.

Poultry owners in these areas must continue to house their birds or otherwise take measures to prevent contact with wild birds wherever practical.

Confining poultry is still recommended in other areas, where possible.

Housing poultry is an additional risk mitigation option aimed at reducing exposure of poultry to infected wildlife. Wild birds are a known source of H5 bird flu.

Stringent biosecurity practices remain essential.

The ACCC non-enforcement of free-range labelling applies for up to 90 days while a housing order or a recommendation is in place.

If you notice unexplained illness or deaths in your birds, report it immediately to the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888.

THANK YOU! 😊

Trivia Night brought together a fantastic crowd for an evening of laughs, friendly competition and plenty of brainpower. It was great seeing people enjoying themselves and making the most of the night.

A big shoutout to everyone who came along, your support means so much and is what makes events like this so worthwhile.

Massive thanks to Michael D for stepping up as Quizmaster and coming up with questions that had everyone guessing and having a laugh (even the good sort of eyeroll moments made it fun 😉)
Definitely a great mix of questions there.
Well done!

To our superstar junior helpers! Your enthusiasm and willingness to jump in wherever needed did not go unnoticed. From marking answers to helping run games and supporting the auctions, you were legends.

Behind every great event is a team, so a sincere thank you to the Berringa Community Committee for all the time, planning and effort that goes on behind the scenes to make nights like this happen.

Again we’re also incredibly grateful to our generous sponsors. The prizes and silent auction items donated were all amazing and added an extra level of excitement to the night.

Most importantly, to the people and the businesses, all of you, who helped in making the evening such a success.
Your support helps us continue to improve our hall and recreation reserve and keep bringing the community together for more events.

Thanks again for being part of it, we’re already looking forward to other events in the future! 💛
