Small, graded classes and warm water at 31 degrees Celsius are important elements that ensure success and enjoyment. hen they complete the required skills. Our system is designed to accommodate all skill levels, from the hesitant beginner to the accomplished competitor. We believe in acknowledging accomplishment and a series of certificates reward each pupil's achievements as they progress. What workout makes you feel good from head to toe? Lap swimming!

Lap Swimming is a fantastic way to improve your fitness, build strength and boost your endurance — all while being gentle on your joints. Grab your goggles, jump in and make time for yourself in the pool. 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

Norwood Swim School offers lap swimming:
⏰ Monday and Tuesday 9am to 11am, Monday to Friday 12:30pm to 2:45pm
🎟 Casual sessions are available or purchase a swim pass, valid for 12 months.

🏊 Events: 400m Freestyle, 50m Freestyle, Backstroke and/or Breaststroke. Swimmers can enter up to 3 events.

What is Mega Swim?
It is your chance to clock your personal best time and help achieve advancement to the next level. It is your time to shine and push yourself to set new personal goals and records.
Swimmers from Tiger Shark and up are invited to attend. Swimmers in Bronze are required to participate in a school event to meet their squad requirements. Swimmers in silver and above require a 400m swim as well as 50m Freestyle and form swims.

❓❓❓My child won't put their face in the water and blow bubbles. What can i do?

This skill doesn't just need to be practised in swimming lessons, it can also be practised at home.

✅Allow your child to take a bath, fill the bath up, and allow them to practise with their goggles by sitting down and placing their face into the water. You can use a watering over their head or toys at the bottom to encourage water over the face.

✅ Do you know the game apple bobbing? Use a large wash bowl and fill with water. Place an apple into the water and encourage your child to pick it up with their mouth and take a bite. This is a fun way to get their face wet.

✅ Use a straw and a cup and practise blowing into the straw to create bubbles. You can also do this in the bath or a tub and as your child feels more comfortable cut the length of the straw until they are blowing on the surface.
