Meet Bruzer, a loving and energetic young Catahoula cross looking for a foster home ๐Ÿ’™

At just over a year old, heโ€™s learning fast. He can sit, walk on a lead and is improving his manners every day. He loves people and would suit an active home ready to give him time and attention.

๐Ÿ• Good with big dogs
โ“ Untested with cats, small dogs and kids
โœ… Desexed and microchipped

Fostering Bruzer is a great way to help him thrive while he waits for his forever home. Youโ€™ll give him comfort and guidance, and heโ€™ll reward you with loyalty and plenty of love.

๐Ÿ’ฆ Biloela Splash Park Update ๐Ÿ’ฆ

Good news, Biloela. Work on the Splash Park is set to recommence soon, with completion now expected by mid-October 2026.

Early construction uncovered unexpected ground conditions, which required additional planning and engineering to ensure the project is built safely and to a high standard. These important steps will help create a durable space the community can enjoy for years to come.

Council is working closely with engineers and contractors to finalise designs, with construction anticipated to restart shortly after.

Thank you to our community for your patience and ongoing excitement. We cannot wait to see the Splash Park come to life as a vibrant space for families and visitors ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿšง TOMLINS ROAD & DODSONS ROAD UPGRADE PROJECT ๐Ÿšง

Banana Shire Council wishes to advise residents and road users that construction works for the Tomlins Road and Dodsons Road Upgrade Project will commence in early June.

The project will involve road widening, pavement improvements, drainage upgrades, culvert works and associated road infrastructure improvements designed to enhance the safety, reliability and longevity of the local road network.

๐Ÿ“… Construction Period

Works are expected to commence in June 2026 and continue for approximately six (6) months, weather permitting.

โš ๏ธ What road users can expect:
โ€ข Reduced speed limits
โ€ข Traffic controllers and traffic management
โ€ข Temporary lane closures
โ€ข Short delays during construction activities
โ€ข Increased heavy vehicle movements
โ€ข Construction noise and dust

Banana Shire Council asks all motorists to obey signage and directions from traffic controllers to ensure the safety of workers and road users. Access shall be maintained for local and adjoining property owners near to the works.
Council appreciates the community's patience and cooperation while these important road improvements are delivered.
