📢 🚨New National Emergency Warning System – AusAlert 🚨📢
A new national emergency warning system, AusAlert, is replacing Australia's current Emergency Alert system and will be tested across the country on Monday 27 July at 2:00 pm (AEST). 🗓️

AusAlert is coordinated by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and uses the latest cell broadcast technology to send emergency warnings directly to compatible mobile devices in affected areas. 🧭
The system will be used to warn communities about life-threatening emergencies, including:
📢 Bushfires
📢 Floods
📢 Cyclones
📢 Tsunamis
📢 Public health emergencies
📢 Biosecurity incidents
📢 Security threats
As part of the national test, compatible devices will receive a test alert at the scheduled time. The alert will clearly identify itself as a test, and no action is required. Your device may vibrate and emit a loud siren-like sound, even if it is set to silent or "Do Not Disturb". 📱
