We place Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and communities at the heart of the program to develop new work drawing on issues of local and global significance. Blacktown Arts at The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre is an innovative multi-arts hub located in the heart of Blacktown, a short walk from the railway station. The Centre has:

• 75-seat performance studio
• Workshop studio
• Weaving garden

General admission is free. We acknowledge the Darug people who are the traditional owners of the Land on which we work. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and thank them for their Custodianship of this Land.

Applications are now open for Blacktown City Council's inaugural Mayoral Photography Competition!

Capture what makes Blacktown special, from stunning sunsets and local favourites to everyday moments in our neighbourhoods.

13 winning photos will feature in the 2027 Community Calendar, delivered to households across the City, with photographer credits included.

⚠️ Photos must be submitted in landscape orientation.

Starphire Jacobs’ public artworks at the Max Webber Library continue to build on the themes of our 2025 exhibition, ‘Ghosts in the Kitchen guest curated by Rebecca Ray’, exploring food and culture, generational connections, and the relationship between past, present, and future, with a focus on the reclamation of First Nations culture and ritual.

Celebrate love next Saturday with our Summer Music Stage at Celebrate Valentine’s Day in Elara! 💗

Tunes of local Dance, Pop and RnB artists will fill the air, while delicious food gets served up by our best food trucks and stalls.

🎵 Summer Music Stage artists:

⭐ gemma ylana: With a sultry, groovy and playful vibe, she will be setting the mood with a DJ set packed with love songs to get your body moving.

⭐Avneesha: Bringing her playful pop sounds with bilingual lyricism, she is inspired by her Punjabi heritage and western upbringing.

⭐ QAYLA: Blending pop, RnB and disco sounds, she will be sharing heartfelt originals and covers.

⭐ Nicole Issa: Sharing her intimate and emotionally raw set, following the release of her latest EP ‘Shadow’
