🏊‍♂️ Pool Closure Notice – Friday 20 March

The pool will be closed to the public this Friday, 20 March, due to the School Swimming Carnival.

✅ Morning swims will still go ahead from 6:00am – 7:30am before the carnival begins.
🏊‍♀️ The pool will reopen to the public at 3:00pm once the event concludes.

We’re pleased to let everyone know that the Boddington Swimming Pool is officially open from 1:00pm today 🏊‍♂️💦

Thank you to our community for your patience while we worked through the reopening process. We really appreciate your understanding and support.

The gates are open — come down, cool off, and enjoy a swim! 😎

Boddington Swimming Pool Update

We are pleased to share that the Boddington Swimming Pool is scheduled to reopen on Monday from 1pm to 7pm. There will be no morning Swim on Monday.

At this stage, we are just awaiting the final test results from the Department of Health which are due at 9am Monday morning. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this time.

Please be assured that we have been following the Code of Practice to the letter and are taking every step to ensure the facility is safe and ready for reopening.

𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞

Following the recent bushfire and heavy smoke impacts, the Boddington Swimming Pool is temporarily closed.

The pool experienced a power outage that stopped water circulation for an extended period. Under the Code of Practice for Aquatic Facilities, when a pool has been without circulation for more than 72 hours it cannot reopen until a full recovery process is completed and water samples are tested and cleared. Laboratories required to undertake microbiological testing are closed over the festive period and are expected to reopen on 2 January at the earliest. Once testing is complete and results are received, the pool can reopen.

We understand how important the pool is to our community, particularly with VacSwim scheduled to commence shortly. The Shire is actively working with Contract Aquatics and neighbouring towns to explore short term options should VacSwim need to be relocated for a brief period.

Further updates will be provided as soon as possible.
