π Bonville RFS Training Night π
This week, members of Bonville RFS participated in a realistic training scenario involving a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) that escalated into a vehicle fire.
The exercise provided firefighters with the opportunity to practise responding to a challenging and dynamic incident, while reinforcing the importance of safe and effective firefighting techniques. Crews utilised Breathing Apparatus (BA) to protect their lungs from harmful smoke and toxic gases, allowing them to operate safely in a hazardous environment.
Training also included the important role of the Breathing Apparatus Control Officer (BACO), who is responsible for monitoring BA wearers, tracking air usage, recording movements, and ensuring firefighter safety throughout the operation.
Regular training is essential to maintaining our skills and preparedness. The more we train, the better equipped we are to respond safely, effectively, and professionally when our community needs us most.
A great effort by all members involved, demonstrating the commitment and dedication that helps keep Bonville and surrounding communities safe.
