🎒 Prep Transition Days are coming up at Boonah State School! 🎒

Starting Prep is a big milestone and our transition days are a valuable opportunity for children to become familiar with the school environment, build confidence and spend time getting to know their Prep teacher, Mrs Hunter.

Families are welcome to attend one or all transition sessions. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities to give your child the best possible chance of a smooth and positive start to school.

👨‍👩‍👧 Please note: An adult must remain onsite for the entire transition session.

📄 Enrolment forms need to be returned by the end of November to receive your enrolment pack, which includes:

🎽 A FREE school shirt
🧢 A FREE school hat
📚 A FREE homework satchel

We can’t wait to welcome our newest students and families to Boonah State School and help make their transition into Prep a happy and exciting one! 💙

📚✨ What a wonderful Book Week we have had! ✨📚

All but one of our Seven Dwarfs have been found, with some very excited children claiming their Book Week prizes! 🎉📖

But there’s still one dwarf hiding out there… Sleepy is yet to be handed in! 👀 So keep your eyes peeled when visiting our local businesses—you never know where Sleepy might be hiding, and you could be the lucky finder who wins a book! 📚🏆

We finished the week with our Book Week Parade, and what a spectacular turnout it was! The incredible costumes, creativity and enthusiasm from our students made it such a wonderful way to celebrate our love of reading. ❤️📚

A huge thank you to all our wonderful families and local community for helping make Book Week so special! 🌟

Our Prep and Year 3/4 students had a fantastic day stepping back in time during their excursion to the Templin Historical Village.

Students enjoyed exploring local history, discovering what life was like in years gone by, and learning through a range of fascinating displays and hands-on experiences.

A big thank you to the wonderful volunteers at Templin Historical Museum for sharing their knowledge and making the day so engaging and memorable for our students. 🏫📚✨

From creating with Play-Doh, building strategies and friendships through UNO, to exploring imagination and storytelling with our doll houses, play provides students with opportunities to create, communicate, problem-solve and develop confidence.
