🚒 FIRE CALL – MVA 🚒

📅 Sunday 6 September
⏰ 10:47pm

Crews were called to an MVA involving a milk tanker B-double truck that had rolled over.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Crews worked to make the scene safe and assist with the incident.

Boorowa Fire Station isn’t just here when the fire truck is needed. We’d much rather help prevent an emergency before it happens.

Our firefighters can visit your home for a FREE Safety Visit, help identify potential fire risks and making sure your home is better prepared.

During a visit, firefighters can:
🔥 Check your smoke alarms are installed and working correctly
🚨 Replace or install smoke alarms where required
🏠 Help identify potential fire hazards around your home
🧯 Provide practical advice about preventing and escaping a home fire
🧏 Talk through additional options for people who are deaf or hard of hearing

Home Fire Safety Visits are particularly valuable for older residents, people living with disability, or anyone who may need a little extra help making their home fire safe.

A few simple changes today could make all the difference when every second counts.

🚒 FIRE CALL – WYANGALA 🚒

Today crews were called to Wyangala for a shed fire involving tractors and a large amount of hay.

🔥 Boorowa Fire & Rescue 232 was called to assist, along with crews from Cowra and the NSW RFS.

Due to the incident, Cootamundra Fire & Rescue was also called to Boorowa for station standby and local fire protection.

Unfortunately, the shed and its contents were a total loss.

Thankfully, there were no injuries reported.

A great effort from all crews working together at the incident. 👨‍🚒🚒
