🦒💙 A Visit from an Old Friend! 💙🦒

There was plenty of excitement at school last week when we welcomed back a very familiar face — Healthy Harold! Harold and the Life Ed team have been visiting us for many years, and it is always wonderful to have them back.

This year, our students took part in engaging lessons focusing on friendship and healthy relationships — learning about being a good friend, showing kindness and respect, communicating with others and making positive choices.

Of course, no Life Ed visit would be complete without spending some time with everyone’s favourite giraffe! 🦒 There were lots of smiles as students caught up with Healthy Harold and posed for a few photos.

A big thank you to Life Ed for continuing to provide such valuable learning experiences for our students year after year. We always love having Harold visit! 💙😊

💐 A Very Special Thank You to Ms Williams 💐

Recently, we got together for a well-deserved morning tea to say a very big thank you to our wonderful Business Services Officer and Booyal Bistro chef, Ms Williams. With flowers, chocolates and a cuppa, we celebrated the lady behind the scenes who helps keep our little school running smoothly every single day and treats us to a deliciously, healthy 2-course meal every fortnight. ❤️

Being the school’s B.S.M. is certainly no small job! Ms Williams is a true jack of all trades — organising, coordinating, problem-solving, supporting staff and students, answering a million questions, keeping us on track and somehow knowing exactly what needs to be done and when.

So much of what Marg does happens quietly behind the scenes, but it makes an enormous difference to our school. Her role is incredibly varied, often challenging and always important.

Thank you, Ms Williams, for everything you do for our students, staff, families and our whole school community. We appreciate you more than you know! 🌻💐❤️

Our students were treated to another wonderful Booyal Bistro lunch last week, thanks to Ms Williams. On the menu were delicious homemade porcupines with vegetables, followed by a warm dessert.

The Booyal Bistro is so much more than a tasty meal. It gives students the opportunity to practise table manners, build confidence in social situations, and enjoy sharing a meal together in a welcoming environment.

We are incredibly grateful to Ms Williams for preparing these free, two-course lunches every fortnight. Booyalians are very lucky children indeed!

Our students had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Paddock to Plate event at St Joseph's School, Childers, and what a fantastic day it was!

We are incredibly grateful to the organisers for putting together such an informative, engaging, and exceptionally well-organised event. Students gained valuable insights into the many industries that contribute to our local agricultural community and enjoyed speaking with the passionate people behind the displays.

A sincere thank you to St Joseph's School and to all the exhibitors who generously shared their time, knowledge, and expertise. It was a memorable learning experience, and we feel very fortunate to have been invited.
