Prep to Year 2 students have been busy in science lessons. They discovered how pushes and pulls can make things move, then put their creativity, problem-solving skills and wonderful imaginations to work by designing and making their own toys that could move.

👏 Congratulations to all our young scientists on their fantastic creations! We are so proud of their enthusiasm, effort and the clever ways they brought their ideas to life! 🌟

A big thank you to Cathy from the RACQ Education Team for visiting our school and sharing the RACQ's 'Streets Ahead' road safety program with all the students! 🚦

It was wonderful to everyone engaged and enjoying the session while learning important skills that can be used to help keep themselves and others safe on the roads. We hope the strategies explored will stay with every child and prove valuable, both now and well into the future.

Thank you, Cathy, for making road safety such a positive, practical and enjoyable learning experience for our students! 🚸😊

🦒💙 A Visit from an Old Friend! 💙🦒

There was plenty of excitement at school last week when we welcomed back a very familiar face — Healthy Harold! Harold and the Life Ed team have been visiting us for many years, and it is always wonderful to have them back.

This year, our students took part in engaging lessons focusing on friendship and healthy relationships — learning about being a good friend, showing kindness and respect, communicating with others and making positive choices.

Of course, no Life Ed visit would be complete without spending some time with everyone’s favourite giraffe! 🦒 There were lots of smiles as students caught up with Healthy Harold and posed for a few photos.

A big thank you to Life Ed for continuing to provide such valuable learning experiences for our students year after year. We always love having Harold visit! 💙😊

💐 A Very Special Thank You to Ms Williams 💐

Recently, we got together for a well-deserved morning tea to say a very big thank you to our wonderful Business Services Officer and Booyal Bistro chef, Ms Williams. With flowers, chocolates and a cuppa, we celebrated the lady behind the scenes who helps keep our little school running smoothly every single day and treats us to a deliciously, healthy 2-course meal every fortnight. ❤️

Being the school’s B.S.M. is certainly no small job! Ms Williams is a true jack of all trades — organising, coordinating, problem-solving, supporting staff and students, answering a million questions, keeping us on track and somehow knowing exactly what needs to be done and when.

So much of what Marg does happens quietly behind the scenes, but it makes an enormous difference to our school. Her role is incredibly varied, often challenging and always important.

Thank you, Ms Williams, for everything you do for our students, staff, families and our whole school community. We appreciate you more than you know! 🌻💐❤️

We always love to recognise and celebrate students' achievements.

Congratulations to all these Booyalians who recently reached the next level in the sight-word and/or number facts programs. It is brilliant to see continual improvement being the result of individual effort. Well done!
