Boronia Volunteers will be out collecting for the The Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne Good Friday Appeal .

Our members will be the the Dorset Road and Boronia Road intersection.

Our Junior Brigade with the help of surrounding junior brigades will be at Fast fuel Wantirna washing cars for a great cause.

We hope to see you at one of our collection spots.

🚒 Busy Day for Boronia Volunteers 🚒

Yesterday our incredible volunteers responded to three local incidents, keeping our community safe.

We also had crews on Rowville Fire Brigade - CFA Tanker deployed to the Trawool fire, working in and around Strath Creek to provide vital asset protection.

Closer to home, our Tanker and FCV were sent to Warrandyte as part of a strike team for a fast-moving grass fire that was threatening houses. Thankfully, local crews were able to bring the fire under control quickly, and our appliances were not required.

Today Boronia members reflect on what was one of the worst fires to impact the state and the country.

On the 17th anniversary of the February 2009 bushfires, we remember the countless people across our communities who were affected, and those who continue to feel the impacts to this day.

We honour the 173 people who lost their lives, the 400+ people who were injured and the thousands of emergency service personnel who responded throughout the course of the fires.

Together, we remember 🎗️

Today is going to be a hot one. It is also a Total Fire Ban for the entire state.

No fires can be lit in the open air between 0001 hrs and 2359 hrs

Boronia has members on standby today incase anything happens. We hope to spend the day inside where it is cool.

Boronia has been busy supporting the fire efforts across the state.

Tonight marks the first night since Wednesday 7th that all of our crews have been home. It has been a mammoth undertaking by our members and its just the beginning.

Thanks to our crews for giving up their time to help the statewide community and thankyou to the partners and families that support our members when they leave to go away.
