RAWCS - Rotary Australia World Community Service has established an appeal fund for the Nepal flood disaster.

The flooding has left affected families without homes, possessions, and livelihoods, and has raised concerns about the spread of waterborne diseases due to damaged water and sanitation infrastructure.
Funds will assist projects and Rotary Clubs with projects in Nepal, responding to assist families and the communities to recover.

Grant Announcement: Raising Prostate Cancer Awareness in Bowen 🔴🧦

We’re proud to support the Rotary Club of Bowen Inc's Redsocks Project through a QCoal Foundation Community Spirit Grant.

This important initiative will see 100 Rotary Redsocks packs distributed to local men, each including information to help raise awareness of prostate cancer and encourage early conversations with a doctor.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men globally, with higher mortality rates in rural areas and increasing cases among younger men, early detection has never been more important.

We’re proud to back initiatives like this that start conversations, support early action, and help improve the health and wellbeing of regional Queenslanders 💛

Last week we were happy to donate sausages and bread to feed the Grade 2s and their families at a Star Gazing event held at Bowen State School. Even though it was a cloudy night and the stars were not so easy to spot, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the kids got to see some telescopes up close.
It was a pleasure for the Rotary Club of Bowen to support this event 😊
