Paul Thirkell - Enchanted Garden

Australian artist Paul Thirkell combines both old and new printing techniques and styles to create images that conjure up imaginary places.

Paul’s drawings, paintings and limited-edition prints represent an intensive body of work created whilst he was working overseas and, more recently, in the Southern Highlands.

Free exhibition entry. All works for sale and sales support the work of the National Trust.

On until Sunday 27 September in the White Cottage Gallery.

If you've ever visited Retford Park and wondered what it would be like to live here, you will enjoy 'An Invitation to the Table', the new memoir by Sharon Mulholland who lived and worked here for over 30 years.

Sharon's book provides a 'behind the scenes' perspective on the life of the house over decades of her family's employment by James Fairfax. The book is available for purchase through the Retford Park shop, open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am-4pm.

If you'd like to hear the stories first-hand, join us for an exclusive house tour with Sharon which will include rarely seen parts of the house including the kitchen, Butler's Pantry and cellar. Includes refreshments on the front verandah.
