Is finding childcare in Nambucca Valley a challenge for you?
Whether you’re driving 30km for care, losing out on work hours, or stuck on endless waitlists—your story matters.
Recently, the Council had a chance to start a plan to fix our local childcare shortage, but it fell short by just one vote. We need to show the Council exactly how this is affecting families, the cost of living, and our mental health.
Councillor Jane MacSmith is gathering our stories to take back to the Council table.

We are thrilled to be finalising our 2026 HIPPY boxes filled with resources for doing hippy activities. These will be making their way to new HIPPY families very soon. A big thank you to Nambucca-Heads-Mens-Shed-Inc for making us x30 of these beautiful wooden boxes again this year.
