Our team will do our best to minimise the impact the closure of Cassidy's bridge will have on Hippy families regular meetings days/times throughout the Nambucca Valley. Between 17th August and December families will need to travel to our gatherings in Bowraville via Macksville - don't worry we will remind you of this before each event :)
🚧⛔ Upcoming closure of Wirrimbi Road, Newee Creek, at Cassidys Bridge
Works for the construction of the new Cassidys Bridge start on Monday 17 August, weather depending, with Wirrimbi Road being closed for approximately 16 weeks to facilitate the works, weather depending. This means the road will be closed from 17 August until about early December, subject to change.
Council thanks our community for its patience – a higher bridge with improved flood resilience will be delivered once the work is completed. Motorists are encouraged to slow down, drive to the road conditions and plan their journey by allowing more time.
