Fire and Rescue NSW Station 236 Braidwood will be assisting the golf club to undertake a series of pile burns this weekend.

Please be aware that parts of Braidwood may experience smell smoke from this operation.

Successful Hazard Reduction Burn.

Fire and Rescue NSW Station 236 carried out a successful hazard reduction burn on the edge of town over the weekend. Much thanks to all involved including the support of our local RFS brigades.

Fire and Rescue NSW Station 236 Braidwood has a newly appointed Deputy Captain.

Help us congratulate Deputy Captain Scott Hill, seen here receiving his new epaulets from Region South One Acting Superintendent John Marzol.

Scott is originally a Broulee boy and has been in Braidwood for many years and with Fire and Rescue NSW for about a decade.

We are looking for additional on-call crew to join the existing team at Braidwood Fire Station to ensure it operates at its full capacity.

Real life training.

Firefighters from Station 236 Braidwood undertook fire attack and search & rescue training in a partly renovated dwelling under heavy smoke conditions during a special drill this week.

Thanks as always to senior instructor Paul for organising and to firefighter Mason for the use of his building.

More training equals more skills to better keep our community safer.
