Hey PlayCafe family!
Just a few little announcements 😁

⭐️ Lighthouse Church has a big gala event happening this Friday night. During this week there will be deliveries etc happening - so please be aware of extra movement in the cafe area. It doesn’t affect us in PlayCafe, just in the cafe area.

⭐️ The weather is cooling off - so our play changes! Please make sure your cherubs are dressed in play clothes that could get dirty. Also - don’t forget to take home any jumpers etc that get taken off - we tend to end up with a big pile of lost property in winter time!

PlayCafe at home!!
We always try to do simple activities at PlayCafe so you can replicate them at home. This one is simple!
Take a balloon, stuff it with a tiny toy (in our case the tiny dinos and pom poms), fill it up with water, tie it to seal it, place in the freezer . Once frozen, cut the balloon off and use a pipette or a syringe with warm water (can be slightly salted too) and hatch out the toy!

Facilitated by Lorren Azerio, a clinical psychologist who specialises in children and families. Our 8 week, 2 hour session will give you practical skills and confidence in this parenting journey.

What an epic Dino week we just had!
We had it all - sunshine, rain, clouds, wind…. But that didn’t stop us from having such a fun week! Our resident Dino’s LOVED getting messy, being hatched, being discovered, and smashing around.
What did your little Dino love the most??

A perfect week for Dinosaur egg hatching!
This activity requires patience and persistence - as we use our baby shark fingers (in adult terms, our pincer grip, perfect for strengthening those fingers ready for writing) to sq**rt water on our frozen eggs to release the baby dinosaur. An activity we can only do here in the cooler weather - it melts too quickly in summer! 🤪
Well show you how to prep this one at home too in the next few days 🥰

It’s Dinosaur Week at PlayCafe!
Our resident friendly Dino’s will be getting into all sorts of fun this week - come and join us!
The weather is looking “interesting” so we will just see what happens - remember - we are open when it is wet, just our outside activities are condensed and our capacity limit is reduced too (which means sign in closes as a soon as we are full inside).

And that’s another week of PlayCafe over!
The weather impacted us a little this week, as we didn’t have all our activities out 😢 BUT we made do, and everyone still had fun!
We loved hunting for bugs and insects and also pushing the trucks around in the sand!
