A huge thank you to our P&C for making our wonderful new playground a reality. Located in the Pre-primary yard, this exciting space has been designed for children of all ages to enjoy, explore and play.

This project was made possible through a combination of a government grant awarded to the P&C, generous support from the school, and funds raised through P&C fundraising activities. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to bringing this fantastic addition to our school community.

The smiles, laughter and active play already happening in this space are a testament to the positive impact of this investment in our students.

Bridgetown Primary School proudly celebrated National Simultaneous Storytime with a wonderful day of literacy and community connection. Students across the school enjoyed listening to this year’s National Simultaneous Storytime book, Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller, together as a whole school.

We were also excited to welcome back former student David Muap, who generously shared his passion and talent for soccer with our students. David planned and led engaging soccer drills for both Year 1–3 and Year 4–6 students, inspiring everyone with his enthusiasm and skills. He also presented highlights from his soccer journey, including his exciting selection to attend Chelsea F.C. in England in 2025 and again in January 2027.

Thank you, David, for returning to Bridgetown Primary School and sharing your love of soccer and your inspiring achievements with our students.

We finished the day with a fun and spirited staff versus students' soccer match, which was enjoyed by everyone involved. Staff scored three goals, while David supported the Year 6 student leaders throughout the game and capped off the event by scoring the final goal.

It was a fantastic way to end a memorable day of storytelling, teamwork and school community spirit.

Bridgetown Primary’s amazing State Cross Country Event!
On Wednesday 20th May, 21 Bridgetown Primary School students travelled to Perth to compete at the School Sport State Cross Country Championships.

We could not be prouder to stand beside these students and their families as they represented our school on the biggest stage in WA!

What stood out most wasn’t just the results - it was the way our students competed. They backed themselves, gave everything a go, supported one another and showed the strong culture we’ve built around being active, healthy and always striving to be your best.

With over 260 competitors in most races, these students achieved outstanding results:

🏃 Willa Pantou – 20th
🏃 Hayden Fraser – 23rd
🏃 Zoey Browning – 37th
🏃 Indi Coghill – 42nd
🏃 Reed Chadwick – 51st
🏃 Ari Englund – 66th

👏 Relay Team 1 also finished an incredible 9th out of 46 teams!

A huge thank you to the staff, families and volunteers who continue to support our running club program. You might spot our little runners training around town in the mornings - be sure to give them a wave!

Thank you to the Bridgetown Rotary Club for your very generous donation for the annual Student Leadership activity day! Students from 5 local schools attended and learnt many team building and leadership skills. We really appreciate your support!!
