💙 The Resilience Project 💙

The Resilience Project has become a valued part of our classroom practice this year.

Our students have embraced the opportunity to explore gratitude, empathy, mindfulness and resilience, in their everyday learnings and classroom conversations.

We have seen a real positive impact across our school and are very proud of the way our students have embraced it. 🌟

During their visual arts lessons this term, Prep- 2 had a visit from Macarla and Amana from the Chinchilla Library.

After reading Mister Seahorse by Eric Carle, students were excited by the colourful illustrations. Macarla shared some of the creative techniques used in Carle’s artworks, before students experimented with printing and painting on tissue paper to create their own colourful collages.

Thank you Macarla and Western Downs Libraries for sharing the joys of reading and creativity with our students.

Our adventure continues with some Fun on Fraser! Lake Mackenzie, Maheno Shipwreck and Eli Creek. It was so lovely to hear so many compliments about our students behaviour and conduct today, from island staff, to bus drivers and the general public, the students should all be very proud of themselves- us staff certainly are!
