Some exciting news to share with the community 🤸‍♀️⁠

Year 9 student Orli was recently selected for the State Team ahead of the 2026 Border Challenge in Artistic Gymnastics! The competition will be held on the Sunshine Coast on June 21st and June 22nd.⁠
⁠
Despite balancing a demanding training schedule of 20 hours per week alongside school commitments, Orli’s dedication and hard work truly paid off, with the continued support of those around her playing an important role in her success. Her achievement in competing marked her first opportunity to represent Victoria at a national event. Well done, Orli and good luck on the Sunshine Coast! 💜

Chasing glory 🏀

Earlier this month, our BSC Basketball Academy took part in the Chase Basketball Academy tournament. We had multiple teams representing BSC on the day, with each team playing three games.

Captain Mans, who was unfortunately sidelined with injury, enjoyed a different experience on the day as he assisted coaches and players from the sidelines.⁠

"The day was still a great experience. There was a 3-point contest, a mid-range shooting contest, and a shooting contest against the coaches... the vibes all day were great," said Mans.

"I 100% recommend it to everyone thinking about joining."

House Athletics 2026 🏆

It was an incredible day out earlier this term as our four houses battled it out in the House Athletics. Students and staff all got involved in the events and dress ups, culminating in an MND ice-bath challenge that lifted spirits high!

Congratulations to Goldstein house on taking out the trophy for this year, and well done to all students who participated and competed with spirit.

It's been one week since many of our students and staff braved the shave for The World's Greatest Shave! 💈

Thanks to the overwhelming support of our school community, we have officially raised a grand total of $5,633.60! Events of this scale are only possible through the dedication and hard work of the many people involved. So we would like to extend a huge thank you to all of our participants, barbers, helpers and donors 💜

We can't wait for next year's event already!

Exploring our city together 🇦🇺🚋🌆

Students from the English Language Centre recently spent a fantastic day in Melbourne, learning how to navigate the city by bus, train and tram before making their way to the Melbourne Aquarium. The penguin feeding was a clear favourite!

The group then wandered through the heart of the city, stopping at St Paul’s Cathedral before exploring the delicious food options in Chinatown. A final tram ride to the Shrine of Remembrance rewarded everyone with stunning views of the skyline.

A big thank you to Ms O’Neil for organising such a memorable day of learning and discovery!
