"Mr Roney found the QBCC directive was properly made but questioned the point of going to the trouble to rule on that.
“It remains the case that, in my view, little or no benefit was to be achieved by continuing with the directive, even if it were one that was properly made when it was made some years ago,’’ he stated in his reasons.
“To expect the resources of this state to be committed to making findings about the appropriateness of decision-making years earlier, which has little or no practical significance, might be seen by many as a waste of public resources."
