For many older women, this isn't a worst-case scenario. It's tonight. It's not knowing if where you've parked is safe. Not knowing how long this will last. Not knowing who sees you.

These are women who have worked, loved, raised families, and contributed to our communities. And somewhere along the way, a series of life events, a relationship breakdown, a health crisis, a lease not renewed, left them without a safe place to sleep.

They're called the hidden homeless. Because this doesn't always look the way we picture it. It looks like a car. A friend's couch. A place that doesn't feel safe.

Invisible. But real.

For one night, participants sleep in their cars to raise funds and awareness for older women experiencing homelessness. Women over 55 are the fastest-growing group facing homelessness in Australia.
