A clever solution making a big difference to our mowing team! 🙌

A huge thank you to Richard from Tom Graham Engineering, who generously fabricated a custom solution for our trailer, allowing our zero-turn mower to sit at the front and freeing up much-needed space for branches, clippings and green waste.

Our mowing service is one of Teen Challenge QLD’s social enterprises, creating practical work opportunities while supporting the wider work of our organisation.

We are so thankful for volunteers like Richard who generously bring their time, incredible skills and practical know-how to support what we do.

What does community look like when people show up with heart and purpose?

This moment with Dan Walters and Peter Cassimatis after last year’s Bridge to Brisbane says it all — commitment, camaraderie, and a shared belief that recovery is possible. It’s my honour to support Teen Challenge Queensland with my photography and help shine a light on the incredible work they do every day.

Teen Challenge Qld provides long‑term residential rehabilitation for men and women overcoming drug and alcohol addiction. Their program offers structure, support, and genuine pathways to lasting recovery, personal growth, and life transformation. They walk alongside individuals facing addiction, homelessness, alcohol dependency, and mental health challenges — restoring hope one life at a time.

Cake, candles and a beautiful reminder that every life is worth celebrating.

Recently, the women at the New Life Women’s Centre had the honour of celebrating another birthday together!

We never take these moments for granted. They are reminders that each woman is seen, valued and worth celebrating as she steps into a new year with purpose, hope and a new way of life.

Last year, Jen ran for Teen Challenge QLD because someone in her family had battled addiction.

For her, it was more than a run. Every step represented a person, a family and a future worth fighting for.

This year, our runners are stepping out again to help raise funds for men and women breaking free from addiction and rebuilding their lives.

A great little team effort at the centre recently.

Richard from Tom Graham Engineering fabricated a modification for our mowing trailer, and Phil, one of our wonderful Teen Challenge QLD volunteers, kindly installed it for us.

While he was there, Phil also modified our metal basketball backboard so it would fit properly and fixed the jockey wheel!

These practical jobs make such a difference to the day-to-day running of the centre, and we’re so grateful for people who are willing to give their time and skills to help.

A huge thank you to Richard and Phil for your generosity and support!

A big shout out to faithful Ron, who week in, week out comes to the centre to help keep our mowers running and lends a hand with whatever other jobs happen to pop up.

It is the regular, behind-the-scenes support like this that keeps things moving, and we are so grateful for the time, skills and consistency Ron continues to give.
