.council is investing in expanded water and road infrastructure, and while we give the council credit for still publicly owning their water assets, the things that make the city liveable are missing.

Connectivity, flood mitigation, and climate resilience are missing from the council budget. All things that greatly concern the people of Logan.

We are the youngest and fastest growing city in the state - we should expect liveability to be more than an afterthought.

The Greens will continue to fight for young workers to ensure every young person is paid super on every dollar they earn, no matter how many hours they work.

We support .council and the move towards external funding for some capital projects.

Where our concern sits, is that we are still seeing a significant rise in residential council rates to tread water with a relatively unambitious budget.

We are the fastest growing city in the state, but our council seems to be failing the moment. People deserve more than just management - they deserve hope and ambition for a better city.

Budgets are about priorities, and .council has shown us theirs.

With higher rate rises than or we need to ask what we are getting out of it. The main priority from council is new roads and water infrastructure for new developments - while our existing suburbs are neglected.

We should be expecting better
