🐾✨ Persuasive Writing in 1/2B! ✨🐾

Our clever writers in 1/2B have been busy putting their persuasive writing skills to the test! 📝🌟

What animal do YOU think would make the best class pet, Grovely? 🐶🐱🐰🐢

We strongly believe you should give this post a BIG 👍 because we have a very important mission…

We need to PERSUADE Mrs Cansdell to let Mrs Powell bring her puppy to school at the end of term! 🐶❤️

Our argument? We’ve been working incredibly hard, demonstrating our Grovely values and surely deserve a little puppy visit as a reward! 🐾

So, Grovely community… give us a thumbs up to help strengthen our argument! 👍😂

Will our persuasive powers be enough to convince Mrs Cansdell? Stay tuned! 🐶✨

Hello Team Grovely! My name is Brigid Foster and I am thrilled to be joining the community as an Inclusion Teacher.

I have recently moved back to Brisbane after spending the past year living in Canberra where I worked at a local Montessori school as their Student Support Officer. My role involved collaborating with teachers, school leadership and families to provide individualised support that helped students to thrive both academically and emotionally. This is something I am passionate about and look forward to continuing here at Grovely.

My passion for inclusive education extends beyond the classroom, as I am currently studying a Master of Education (School Guidance and Counselling) which I am absolutely loving. My studies complement my role as an Inclusion Teacher and continues to deepen my knowledge and equip me with skills to best support our learners.

I recognise the important role that a school community plays in helping young people reach their full potential, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of that process here at Grovely.

I look forward to getting to know everyone! 😊

❤️ DAY FOR DANIEL – FRIDAY 30 OCTOBER 2026 ❤️

❤️ Wear RED for Child Safety! ❤️

October is Child Protection Month, and at Great Grovely, we are proud to support Day for Daniel on Friday 30 October!

Day for Daniel is a national day of action dedicated to raising awareness about child safety, empowering children to recognise unsafe situations, speak up and seek help from trusted adults. ❤️

At Grovely State School, keeping our students safe is everyone’s responsibility. Through education, awareness and open conversations, we can help our little people feel safe, supported and empowered.

🔴 Wear RED to show your support!

💰 Gold coin donations are welcome, with all funds raised going towards Daniel Morcomb foundation child safety resources to support our students in learning how to stay safe.

Together, we can make a difference and continue building a school community where every child feels safe, valued and heard.

❤️ Work Hard, Be Kind, Stay Safe! ❤️
