In our senior toddler room, we used the juicer, and discovered that making juice required effort, concentration and coordination! (A follow up of our daily tea session)

Our children engaged their big muscles to press and twist the fruit, while their small muscles helped them hold, grip and position the orange. Many children paused, tried again and adjusted their movements as they worked to make the juice come out. Great for developing the muscles required for prewriting skills
We took time to closely observe the oranges together. The children explored the details and features of the fruit —
• the bright outer skin,
• the soft inner skin,
• the different colours,
• and the bumpy and smooth textures.

Hi! My name is Miss Clare. I started working at Goodstart in November, 2025. Before that, I worked at a private Centre for three years. I have my Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and a degree in Child Psychology. I was born in England, but have lived in the US and in Russia. I spent my early life traveling the world before marrying an Aussie and having three beautiful boys aged 15, 16 and 22. Hi, my name is Ms. Sue. I have worked in childcare for 15 years. Ten years were spent in a privately owned centre. I started to work for Goodstart in 2019, at Wynnum West and transferred to Wondall road in 2023. I love working with will all age groups. I’m originally from the UK but have lost my accent. During a water experience in the toddler playground….
Something very exciting happened… Miss Melissa had a grasshopper land right on her arm! The children were very curious, so we turned it into a fun learning moment. We talked about grasshoppers and even made our own grasshopper creations. Did you know grasshoppers live on every continent except Antarctica? How cool is that!

Hi, my name is Ms. Joclyn. I hold my diploma in children services. I have been a part of Goodstart since 2018 as a student and was employed in 2019.
I transferred from Goodstart Crawford Road in early 2024 and I’m very excited to be part of the Wondall Road family. I'm a mum of two. I'm very excited to meet all of the children and families. The reason I work in childcare is because I love to watch children learn and grow. I love to have the endless conversations and to watch how they are curious about anything and everything. I can't wait to get to know the children and the families of Wondall Road. (Lead educator kindergarten.)
