Blackfulla Revolution Aboriginal Media in Aboriginal Hands. Community-driven media by Aboriginal people and out to the world! Blackfulla Revolution has 2 main components.

The first is about First Nations people embarking on a journey of cultural revival; becoming politically aware and active and working in solidarity to challenge the discriminative powers and laws forced upon us that continue to desecrate and undermine Aboriginal land, people and culture. The second component is building a mass movement of support from non-Indigenous brothers and sisters who value

the knowledge, custodianship, spirituality, culture and perspectives of First Nations people and who want to support us as we fight for the changes we want and need. Aboriginal history, culture and spirituality is something that all people can learn from and feel a part of- if they are open to it and willing to listen and be led by our people. With mainstream media either boycotting or misrepresenting Aboriginal society and affairs- social media has become an effective tool for spreading an alternative truth and building a national and international support network. I do not condone discrimination of any kind and I support the efforts of other minority groups fighting against discriminative laws and social oppression also. The Blackfulla Revolution page represents a revolution of awakening and consciousness first and foremost. I hope that makes some sense and provides a bit of insight. Ultimately, I hope this page will be received in the same good intention it is given - for the purpose of education, solidarity, empowerment and advancement. Urgent Barrambin Update 🚨

Goori Camp Embassy are calling for mob and allies to come to Barrambin to help keep the fires burning this weekend.

* there are 3 fires currently burning, with the main one at the original GCE site, another nearby and one up at the Vic Park lookout.
* the fire keepers are seeking support to keep them burning. Allies are invited to come bare witness, provide operational support (like cooking, running errands, organising supplies) and there’s opportunities for those interested to support actions (e.g. banner drops).
* Importantly, having allies staying onsite means extra protection for Elders and the living heritage fires in case there are any further council/QPS visits
* Council are removing any tents, so we recommend camping under-the-stars style, by the fire. Last night a few of us used yoga mats and sleeping bags.
* if you prefer to hitch a tent, put it up at night and pack it down in the morning. Be prepared to pack it down if there’s a visit, otherwise it may be confiscated till Monday.
* there are spare tarps and ropes onsite; there are two BBQs and one large esky.
* there are a couple of spare tents that were donated, but mob should be given priority for these.
* if you’re only able to pop in for a short time this weekend, the current priority seems to be tomorrow from 1pm onwards.

The Spirit Walker is in FB jail for threatening GoFundMe with the news media for refusing to release donations for family of Kumanjayi Little Baby and he wants me to tell everyone that the good news is James Bennett has been able to get his campaign donations released and he has sent the funds to family members, so that’s some good news. Anyone who has a problem with James Bennett shouldn’t be attacking him for this, he did a nice thing here.
