PBE Services

PBE Services In 2011 an additional key area of expertise was added by the introduction and operationalization of large drones in the agricultural sector.

Founded in 2003, Pipebore Excell Pty Ltd is built on a foundation of good project management and innovative solutions in our two principle areas of expertise: - hydrology and environmental management. Working with private, non-Government and Government organizations both in Australia and abroad, PBE continues to develop its reputation and expand the services it offers. In 2015 this work with drone

s was again expanded by the introduction of long endurance survey drones able to map large areas with exceptionally high precision in a single flight and operate both day and night. Our research and development efforts, collaboration with industry partners and links to key groups means that PBE continues to be at the forefront of new developments. This offers great opportunities to our clients to leverage this skill and knowledge to ensure solutions are cost-effective meet the required standards of our clients and regulators and are delivered on time. An exciting part of our current work is the continued research and development efforts with the aerial application of chemicals using unmanned aircraft to highly sensitive and challenging sites. This has led to techniques, technologies, systems and processes that have enabled PBE and its clients to secure relevant regulatory permits. These approvals have significantly reduced cost, increased efficiency and drastically reduced work place health and safety issues. PBE now has the skill to operate these machines to deal with highly complex sites and offer cost effective solutions to our clients. This work is now expanding into the areas of high-grade mapping and surveying, 3D modeling, spotting of animals and weed plants and pasture and crop monitoring. PBE is however not resting here, we will continue to offer more services to our clients in the coming months and years.

Floodwaters of the Diamantina River spread out as they close in on Lake Eyre. Truely one of the great epic journeys as the floodwaters travel hundreds of kilometres to terminate not in the ocean but in the desert.

Even within a flood there is beauty.

Here, as the water is beginning to recede, natures patterns are becoming evident and island refuges are rejoining the floodplains.

A less dramatic photo but nonetheless important .. here the iconic Combo Waterhole is well underwater. Famously attributed to the setting of the song Waltzing Matilda, it sadly sits underwater as the upper Diamantina River is still in flood. A key environmental and historic site, it’s a reminder that the flood event affects all parts of the regions life, environment and history.
