Happy International Carrot Day 2024! đ„
Did you know that carrots are made up of 88% water and are a great source of vitamin B, C, and A. There are many different varieties of carrots, however, Baby Carrots are not one of them. Baby Carrots are essentially pre-cut carrots, and were created in an attempt to shorten meal-prepping time for consumers. Whilst their most common colour is orange, carrots also come in shades of yellow, white, and purple.
Incorporating carrots into your meals has many benefits such as boosting your immune system, assisting with bone strength, and helping to control diabetes. Just be sure not to eat carrots excessively, as studies have shown that eating too many carrots can turn your skin yellow!
We'd like to give a big shoutout to the growers who grow, harvest, and pack carrots across Australia!
Thank you for your hard work and vital contribution to both your consumers and the Australian Horticulture industry.
