Mount Ommaney Special School The Mount Ommaney Special School campus provides educational programs for learners with disabilities from birth through to their graduation from school.

The Mount Ommaney Special School campus provides educational programs for learners with disabilities from birth through to their graduation from formal schooling. Since 2012, the school is gradually expanding its role within the region to provide programs for the diverse range of learners, who meet the criteria for special school enrolment. As it has always done, the school continues to provide pr

ograms for school age children with high and complex support needs, as well as hosting an Early Childhood Development Program for students not yet of compulsory schooling age. While our school is located in the suburb of Mount Ommaney, we provide service to areas well beyond the Centenary suburbs. In line with its steady growth and expanding focus, the school is organised into four sectors or learning areas; early years sector, middle phase sector, senior school sector and intensive interaction sector.

What an incredible day of fun, teamwork and participation at our Sports Day!

Students took part in a wide range of activities including ball games, throwing and catching events, bowling challenges, obstacle courses, running races and relay races. It was fantastic to see every student giving their best effort, encouraging their peers and showing outstanding sportsmanship throughout the day.

A special congratulations to our House Captains:
💛 Yellow Team – T
💚 Green Team – Oscar and Kohen
💙 Blue Team – Joseph and Camy

After a closely contested day, the final results were:
🥉 3rd Place – Green Team (70 points)
🥈 2nd Place – Yellow Team (80 points)
🥇 1st Place – BLUE TEAM (85 points)

Congratulations to all students for their amazing participation, positive attitudes and the joy they brought to the day. We are so proud of every student who got involved and gave things a go!

As we move through the middle of Term 2, students at HI Hub are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences, outdoor play, hands-on exploration, and the development of positive friendships within our supportive community. Vincent delivered another outstanding performance, running a time close to his previous Districts result despite much harsher conditions. The heavy rain made the course difficult, forcing runners to walk parts of it. His effort paid off, earning him a place on the Met West team and qualification for the State Championships.
