Tickets are now available through the Qkr! App, and we’d love to see as many of our Kedron Community as coming along to support our talented students.

Congratulations, Emily!
What an incredible couple of weeks for Emily competing at the Junior World Championships in Rijeka, Croatia. Competing against 286 divers from 46 national federations, Emily was the youngest competitor in her division of around 30 athletes, she certainly held her own on the world stage
1m Springboard: 6th in the preliminary round and 6th in the World
3m Springboard: 5th in the preliminary round and 11th in the World
5m & 7.5m Platform: A fantastic performance against some of the best junior divers in the world. We are incredibly proud of Emily and her outstanding results! Balancing elite level competition, training twice a day, travel and her schoolwork is no small achievement. Congratulations, Emily what an amazing experience and achievement. 🖤💛

¡Llegó el correo! You’ve got mail!
Our Year 7 Spanish students have been expanding their world! Two weeks ago, they wrote letters in Spanish to other Year 7 students studying the language at schools across Brisbane—and today, the replies arrived! This has been a fantastic activity, giving students an authentic opportunity to practise their reading and writing while sparking plenty of curiosity. They had to use their detective skills to work out the meaning of new words and expressions that we haven’t even learnt in class yet! We are also incredibly impressed by the quality of their Spanish writing—and they have only been studying Spanish for 7 weeks! What a wonderful way to connect, communicate and see just how far their Spanish can take them! 💛🖤

We are very excited to have Kedron SHS represented at this year’s Battle of the Rock Bands! Our very own super group ‘The Ultraboyfriends’ will be performing a set of classic tunes in this year’s competition. This student band consists of year 10 students Mia, Lily and Rex along with year 11 students Sophia, Sam, Dylan and Andrei. Following on from a stunning performance at Eats and Beats last week, they are ready to take the stage and battle it out October 9th!

Get Ready to Get Colourful! 🌈
We are excited to announce that the Kedron State High School Colour Run is coming up on Friday, 18 September!
This promises to be an amazing day filled with colour, fun, laughter and plenty of school spirit. Most importantly, our Colour Run is helping us raise funds for a meaningful project — the creation of First Nations Totems for our school, celebrating culture, connection and community.
