🐶 Works have started on Seymour's new dog-friendly space at Chittick Park.

Located behind the Seymour Tennis Complex, the new facility will provide a safe and welcoming space for dogs and their owners to exercise, train, socialise and play.

The project is supported by $166,500 from the Victorian Government's New and Upgraded Dog Parks Program and a $66,500 contribution from Mitchell Shire Council.

Construction is expected to be completed by October.

Dog parks are a great way to provide exercise, enrichment and social opportunities for our four-legged friends.

🚗 If you notice vehicles driving slowly or stopping on roads north of Broadford over the next few weeks, there’s no need for concern - it’s just Council crews carrying out night-time road inspections.

From Monday 8 June to Sunday 29 June, inspectors will be assessing things like road signage, cat’s eyes, guideposts and line marking visibility at night to help identify any maintenance or safety improvements needed.

Inspections will take place between 5.30pm and 2.30am with no road closures or traffic impacts expected. Please slow down and use caution as you pass.

The works are part of Council’s ongoing road safety and maintenance program across the Shire.

For more information, please call Council on 5734 6200.
