It's National Youth Volunteer Week! 🤝

From 10 to 16 August we celebrate the young people who are leading, connecting and creating a sense of belonging in communities across Australia 🌏

This year's theme, Your Year to Lead, recognises that leadership isn't defined by age or title. It grows through action, compassion and the choice to make a difference.

Discover how you can get involved and volunteer across Mitchell Shire here https://brnw.ch/21x4NOp

Wear it Purple Day is all about nurturing supportive, safe, empowering, and inclusive environments for rainbow young people! 🌈

The Minus18 Q***r Youth Now 2025 study brought together the voices of 2000+ young people, where 1 in 2 LGBTIQA+ young people shared, they had felt unsafe in the past year.

The survey also found that:
🌺 86% of LGBTIQA+ young people said seeing someone wearing rainbow or ally accessories made them feel safe and more like they belonged.
🌼 73% of LGBTIQA+ young people said they feel pride in being a part of their LGBTIQA+ communities.
🌸 99% of LGBTIQA+ young people said that making friends is an important part of their lives.

That's why we celebrate WIPD, come along and join us!
No registration needed, simple sign in on the day, don’t forget to wear purple! 🥳💜
