Broken Hill children will now learn the skills to help them tackle the local lead issue thanks to a new program launched by the Broken Hill Environmental Lead Program.

The curriculum-linked, LeadSmart School Program has been developed in collaboration with teachers to empower children with the skills, knowledge and attitude to make safer and healthier choices to help protect themselves and others from lead harm.

There's a teacher-led component, including lesson plans and interactive activities for the classroom. We've also created two exciting Lead Ted Roadshows for preschool and Kindergarten to Year 2 children. The fun-filled shows feature Lead Ted Jnr, and children will learn how to be LeadSmart through engaging animations, activities, songs and dancing.

If youʼd like to learn more about the LeadSmart strategies you and your family can use at home visit www.leadsmart.nsw.gov.au, Or you might like to take our LeadSmart family quiz, http://leadsmart.nsw.gov.au/interactives/family-quiz/
