The NSW Land and Environment Court has upheld our appeal on the Hydrostor project – giving Outback Astronomy stronger protections for noise, light and our precious dark skies.
The project (the SCES - Silver City Energy Storage) - will still proceed, but now Hydrostor must
• Consult with us at every major stage
• Monitor noise and light at our property
• Report data directly to us
• Notify us in advance of high impact activities
• Design and operate lighting to Australian standards
• Demonstrate compliance over the life of the project
