It was a privilege to meet with the Hon. Michelle Boylan MLC this week. What stood out immediately was her genuine commitment to advocacy, leadership, and creating meaningful change within our communities.

Through my work with Grief Connect®, I have met many people in positions of influence. What matters most to me is not titles, but authenticity, integrity, and a willingness to engage in complex and often difficult conversations. Michelle embodies these qualities.

She generously shared her insight, experience, and professional networks in support of the broader vision of Grief Connect®, to strengthen conversations, education, and community support around grief and bereavement.

Conversations like these are an important step in strengthening the future of Grief Connect®.
The focus is on delivering services that bridge the gap that often emerges once funeral support ends, meeting people where they are, especially across rural, regional, and remote communities.

With continued collaboration and shared commitment, we are strengthening a more connected, informed, and compassionate approach to grief and bereavement support across Western Australia and beyond.

Founding membership closes TOMORROW… and honestly?

I don’t want people joining this community after they hit rock bottom.

I built Grief Connect for the people pretending they’re “fine” while silently falling apart in grocery store aisles, at work, in the car, or at 2am staring at the ceiling.

The people carrying grief nobody fully sees.

What you'll get from joining the community:
-professionally guided (by Michelle Moriarty - Accredited Social Worker) online peer community. Really frequent posting and support right to you. We are all grieving and 'get it!'.
-Fortnightly live online conversations - full of information of how to manage personal grief and find ways of getting through.
-A place where you don't have to pretend your 'fine' or 'good'.
-A place where you can say your person's name and share with others missing them and actually be understood.
-A sense of connectedness and grounding back to life. You are not alone in this!

Tomorrow the founding doors close… and standard membership pricing begins.

So if you’ve been thinking about joining… this is your sign to do it today by clicking on this link right here: https://www.rfr.bz/f35c98f

If you are bereaved and missing someone important from your life , a new chapter for you begins today.

Founding Member access to the Grief Connect® Community is now open, and this is a personal invitation to join us. If you have been waiting for grief support that feels different... more human, more understanding, and genuinely helpful — this may be the place you have been looking for.

Tomorrow, we host our very first live online gathering inside the community... a gentle, supportive space for people navigating life after the death of someone important to them.

If you have been thinking about joining but feel unsure, I want to reassure you: there is no pressure here. You do not need to speak, have the right words, turn your camera on, or share anything before you are ready. You are welcome to simply arrive, listen, and be in the space.

This first session is a relaxed meet and greet. A chance to settle in, connect in your own way, and experience what it feels like to be in a space where your grief does not need explaining.

Often, the most powerful support is simply being around others who understand that life feels different after loss.

You can join easily via the Calendar tab at the top of the community page, from your phone, tablet, or computer... wherever feels most comfortable for you.

We begin tomorrow, and I would truly love to welcome you into this space.

Founding Member subscriptions close on 25 May. With only two days remaining, this is your opportunity to join at the founding rate before standard pricing begins.

If this feels like something you have been needing, you are warmly invited to step in by clicking the link right here: https://www.rfr.bz/f09d2a1

There are 2 days left to join the Grief Connect Community as a founding member.

If you have been reading these posts and thinking you need more support than what you currently have, this is the point where you decide whether you act on that or not.

Most people don’t. They wait, tell themselves they’ll come back to it, and nothing changes. You go back to the same days, the same nights, and trying to get through it on your own.

The Grief Connect Community is there so you don’t have to keep doing that.

It gives you a place to go where people understand, where you can join live sessions and not be sitting with it on your own, and where you get guidance that actually helps you make sense of what is happening.

This is not about talking more about grief.
It is about being supported through it.

There are only 2 days left before founding member access closes on 25 May.

As a founding member, you will receive:

-Access to live online video sessions with Michelle and others who understand what you are going through
-Practical grief guidance and information to help you make sense of what is happening and find ways to get through each day
-A discounted ongoing membership rate that stays with you as a founding member
-One week free access to the Community so you can experience it fully before committing

If you know you need something more than what you have right now, don’t leave this.

Join now.

Is it wrong to have a moment in time, or moments where you feel OK?

There can be moments where you laugh, feel a bit lighter, or notice that something felt easier than it did before, and almost immediately, guilt follows.

Like you are doing something wrong by not feeling the weight of missing your person in that moment.

That can be one of the most confronting parts of grief.

Trying to find your way forward while still holding love, memory, and everything that mattered.

Because... YES.. ABSOLUTELY... you are allowed to feel moments, minutes, days, weeks (goes on and on) where you feel okay.

You are not leaving your person behind!!

You are learning how to live alongside what has happened. And that is totally OK.

Being around others who understand this can make a real difference, because you can hear from people who are navigating the same tension between missing their person and still living their life.

That is what the Grief Connect Community offers.

A space where these conversations are normal, understood, and supported, and where you can receive guidance that helps you move through this in a way that feels right for you.

Today is your opportunity to join the Grief Connect Community as a founding member (available only until 25 May).

As a founding member, you will receive:

Access to live online video sessions with Michelle and others who understand what you are going through
Practical grief guidance and information to help you make sense of what is happening and find ways to get through each day
A discounted ongoing membership rate that stays with you as a founding member

Here is how you can help your grieving friend-Share this with them!

Most grieving people are surrounded by people and still feel completely alone.
Not because people don’t care... but because grief brings along with it feelings of isolation and loneliness.

Then the support often fades long before the grief does. People stop asking how you are. Conversations become surface level. And many grieving people quickly learn that being honest about how hard this really is can make other people uncomfortable.

So they stop talking about it. Or say they are OK when they are not.

Not because they are coping, but because they are tired of feeling misunderstood.

That silence is one of the biggest gaps in grief support.

Because grief was never meant to be carried alone while trying to pretend you are okay.

That is exactly why I created the Grief Connect Community.

This is not just a place where people post about grief and wait for replies. It is an active, ongoing community where people living with loss are connecting in real conversations, receiving ongoing support from others who genuinely understand grief, and accessing professionally guided conversations that help them better understand and navigate the realities of life after loss.

Every fortnight inside the Grief Connect Community, I guide two live online sessions designed to provide both grief education and honest peer connection.

Session 1 - 'What Grief Really Feels Like' helps people better understand the emotional and physical impact grief has on them day to day. These conversations give language to experiences many people struggle to explain, while helping people feel less alone in what they are carrying.

Session 2 - 'Nothing Is Off Limits' is a space for honest conversations about the realities of grief that people often feel they cannot say out loud. The anger, exhaustion, loneliness, resentment, identity changes, relationship struggles, parenting pressures, social disconnection and everything in between.

These live sessions can be accessed from your phone, tablet, iPad or computer, from the comfort of your own home or any quiet private space where you feel comfortable to join in, listen, speak, or simply sit alongside people who genuinely understand this life.

This is exactly why the Grief Connect Community exists.

A space where grief is understood, support is ongoing, and people no longer have to navigate loss in isolation. It's a space where grieving people find a sense of connection, of hope, and of future.

Founding member access is now open by clicking the link below. Your first week is free, and the discounted subscription rate is available until 25 May.

If you know someone grieving the death of someone important in their life, send this directly to them or share this page.
Connecting grieving people with real support matters, and this can be the support that brings change and light to their life.
