In 2023, the Members United campaign triggered the first fully contested elections in the Community and Public Sector Union since 2005. FSP members in the CPSU are part of this effort.

In 2023, against incumbency and a substantial difference in financial resources, Members United won a third of the vote and revitalised democracy in the union.

The arguments we made in 2023 have been vindicated - the pay deals the CPSU leadership won in 2023 have fallen below inflation, leaving CPSU members with lower standards of living.

Now more than ever, we need to build our union's capacity to strike and fight to win real pay rises, job security and stand up to the powerful. To achieve that, we're running candidates right across our union. We can win, but we need your help.

Come and meet comrades, hear from candidates for the upcoming CPSU elections and learn about how getting involved in reforming the Community and Public Sector Union can make a massive impact.

We have a launch happening tomorrow night. CPSU members are other rank and file unionists are invited to book tickets for the Melbourne event here!

On Tuesday we participated in the protest against Land Forces in Boorloo. The genocidal capitalist system manufactures weapons for imperialist wars while the people and the planet suffer. We must build for a general strike to demand government funding for the people and the planet, not war!
