Not all e-scooters are legal to ride in Victoria.

A legal e-scooter must 👇:

- Have a max speed capability of 25 km/h
- Only be ridden by aged 16+ wearing a helmet
- Be ridden at a maximum speed of 20km/h
- Have two wheels, a handlebar and a footboard
- Weigh less than 45 kg.

🚨 Witness Appeal - Road Rage Assault, Craigieburn

Craigieburn Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a road rage incident at the Pascoe Vale Road exit of the Western Ring Road on Sunday 4 October 2026 at approximately 2:00pm.

It is alleged an unknown male driving a white Hyundai approached the victim as he was exiting his vehicle. The offender then allegedly punched the victim several times to the face before continuing the assault while the victim was on the ground.

The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.

The male 🙍‍♂️ is described as:
• Caucasian
• Mid-30s
• Blonde mohawk
• White T-shirt
• Blue track pants
• Aviator sunglasses 🕶️

Investigators are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident, or any motorists who were travelling in the area and may have dashcam footage.

You wouldn't think so, but sometimes we're genuinely surprised at the speed people travel and the danger they put themselves in and others.

Last night Tuesday 6th October at 9:00pm, Fawkner Highway Patrol members were performing speed detection when a 2007 Honda Accord was detected travelling 173km in an 80km zone on Citylink Pascoe Vale South.

The 22-year-old P plate driver from Dandenong North was intercepted. He was fined a total of $1,464.00, his licence was immediately suspended for 12 months, and the car was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $966.50.

The driver clearly didn’t understand the danger he was putting himself and other road users in.

Please, just slow down.

👮‍♂️ Shop Thefts in Niddrie 👮‍♂️

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding two Shop Thefts in Niddrie on 22 September 2026.

The male and female offender first attended a supermarket in Keilor Road, where staff prevented them leaving the store with over $1,300.00 worth of unpaid groceries.

The male and female then walked into a nearby pharmacy, where they stole over $700.00 worth of perfume.

The male is described as being in his mid-30s, Caucasian, thin build, approx. 170cm tall, stubble beard, wearing a backward facing blue cap, grey sweater and pants.

The female is described as being in her mid-30s, Caucasian, thin build, brown hair in a high ponytail, grey zipped-up top and dark grey track pants.

Investigators have released images of a male and female who may be able to assist with enquiries.

E-scooters and e-bikes have become a common way for young people to get around, but injuries are becoming more frequent and more serious.

In the past five years, Victorian hospitals have recorded more than 1,500 e-scooter and e-bike injuries involving children and young people aged 18 and under.

Before they ride, make sure they:

🛴 Wear a properly fitted helmet
⚡ Know the road rules
🚲 Ride solo
⚡ Stay visible, especially at night
🛴 Choose safety over speed.

The safest ride starts long before they leave the driveway.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man after he was found unresponsive in Pascoe Vale last night.

Officers attended a residential property on Heathcote Street and located a 63-year-old male unconscious about 7.45pm.

The yet-to-be-formally identified man was treated at the scene but died shortly after.

Another man, a 34-year-old from Pascoe Vale, was arrested nearby and remains in custody.

A postmortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident remain ongoing.

It's believed the parties are known to each other.
