Bullarto Primary School A great little bush school offering fantastic personalised education,all in the heart of the Wombat

Bullarto Primary School is a small rural school set in fertile farmland at the head of the Wombat State Forest. We are about 10km from both Trentham and Daylesford and children travel by car and bus from Blackwood, Newbury, Trentham, Daylesford, Musk, Lyonville and surrounds. Our enrolment numbers vary from 10 to about 25 over time, which gives us the ability to value and nurture every child as an

individual. We have excellent facilities with most buildings being less than 10 years old. Our beautiful grounds allow the children to develop their teamwork and express their enthusiasm in a stable and safe environment.

Last week, we barely made it outside because of the ongoing rain. We made up for it today, getting the opportunity to not only play outside, but our two hour hands on learning and sustainability class also.

We were able to continue understanding the soil in our greenhouse, move seating to the new fire pit and prepare wood for making charcoal and ember bowls in Outdoor Learning this Friday. 🤞🤞🤞there is no rain on Friday.

Our PE focus this term is developing our hand eye coordination. When it's pouring rain and you really don't have an indoor PE space the only thing to do is turn the classroom into a Table Top Handball Arena.

We have been so fortunate to have Daniel from Educated by Nature, spend this week with us. Daniel has spent time with both staff and students to further enhance our Outdoor Learning Program.

Staff have been inspired by the evidence based knowledge of how Outdoor Learning and Loose Parts Play can be connected to curriculum in the classroom too.
